About the Seminar

The Mathematical - Biological Seminar was founded by Professor Milan Kučera, Doc. Filip Jaroš, and Doc. Tomáš Vejchodský at the Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences more than ten years ago. Since then, the seminar has been running continuously and has hosted several dozen speakers from both the Czech Republic and abroad. In 2023, the organization of the seminar was taken over by Karolína Korvasová and Jindřich Brejcha, and the venue was moved to the Faculty of Science. Students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and the Faculty of Science at Charles University can enroll in our course. Additionally, students and scientists from various universities in the Czech Republic, such as in České Budějovice, Plzeň, and Brno, can participate in the seminars. The seminar is also newly offered as part of the 4EU+ coalition at prestigious European universities.
